Dear all

It has been an eventful few days .A number of the students have had d and v,infected mosquito and flee bites and generally feeling unwell which is to be expected we are living and working in a unsanitary environment .Another Student has been bitten by a wild dog (there are a number of packs that roam around where we are staying ) my first aid course has definitely been invaluable.

We have a number of the little children unwell ,one girl has a grumbling appendicitis".In spite of these issues work is continuing ,all of the children are having a great time with us singing songs ,playing games and painting !

On Thursday Mrs Johnson the special needs teacher was sick so I had the daunting task of the Old Goa day centre we had 30 slum children to teach !I We had to "think on the hoof" and taught the children left and right by each of them drawing around their hands and feet left and right and playing "Simon says " and ring a ring a rosies" great fun !

Yesterday we held a party for 120 slum children plus the children from the orphanage .A local restaurant provided a room and food for everyone free of charge. Word is spreading about the work we are doing and we have had many cash donations .The party was simply crazy and fantastic the children were beside them selves ,we played party games pass the parcel was a huge favourite you can imagine the mess we made Process at the new home is still slow we are behind schedule due to issues with builders who walk off the job if they are working with someone of a different caste. Sadly the moving in date will be 2 weeks after we leave !

On behalf of the company I have bought an industrial sized washing machine ,tumble dryer and fridge for the new home.

We are on our way to start the day I have 3 new children to see who were admitted over night .They were living on the streets with their mother as the slum they were living in was bulldozed by the government .Their mother could not feed them or provide shelter so in desperation she has left them .They are 4.5,3.5 and 2.5 years of age heart breaking !

have more head lice ,scabies and warts to treat today all of the sores and wounds previously dressed !are now healed Have a great productive week !I will be in contact again tomorrow.
